We welcome all automotive enthusiasts. Your interest may be “antique”, classic or modern specialty vehicles.
The Bozeman Antique Auto Club (BAAC) is one of the oldest chapters of Montana Pioneer & Classic Auto Club. We meet informally every Tuesday at ~8:00 am at Kountry Korner Café in Four Corners. Members and guests gather to “solve the world’s problems and talk about cars or anything else that comes to mind”.
If you are interested in leisurely activities with other car enthusiasts, we invite you to attend any Tuesday morning breakfast.
Members drive/own a variety of vehicles, from early/mid 1900s to current year models – many different makes; foreign and domestic; trucks and motorcycles. Members frequently drive their specialty vehicles to the Tuesday breakfast – a great opportunity to see some unusual cars/trucks.
In addition to the Tuesday breakfast, club members participate in a variety of social and automobile-related activities:
• The club schedules a tour and/or lunch & meeting each month. Tours typically are short drives with a destination where members can enjoy a meal and conversation with fellow car enthusiasts. During the winter months, travel is restricted to nearby establishments.
• After the meeting, short programs are provided by club members about transportation or car museums visited, swap meets attended, or other topics of interest. Presentations on subjects of historical or automotive interest are often provided by guest speakers.
• In the spring, BAAC joins the Helena and Butte antique car clubs for a meeting to kick off the Spring/Summer touring season.
• The Montana Pioneer & Classic Auto Club sponsors two annual statewide meets, usually in June and September, hosted by one of the ten affiliate clubs.
The Bozeman Antique Auto Club traces its roots to the early 1950’s when a group of local Ford Model T enthusiasts formed the Bozeman Model T Club. These founding members were primarily interested in racing their original and souped-up `T’s across Montana in annual races that attracted participants from far and wide. During the winter months, club members would share a pot-luck supper and then enjoy a tour of the host’s garage to see what the owner was working on for the upcoming racing season. As the years passed, other local car enthusiasts began to join in the club’s activities which had expanded to include afternoon drives and excursions with their families. In 1962 the name of the organization was changed to the Bozeman Antique Auto Club to better reflect the expanding and diverse interests of its members.
