Subject: Skunk Wagon Minutes
The monthly Skunk Wagon meeting was called to order by president Carol Rustad at 7PM, Friday, May 7, 2021 at the Eagles Manor. There were no new members or guests. The minutes of the April meeting were approved as distributed. The Treasurer’s report showed a beginning balance, March 31, of $11,680.86 and ending balance of $11,591.37 April 30 and was approved. We discussed a memorial for George Wermling and the club decided to send that to the Flag Park. We discussed moving the meetings away from Friday nights. Unfortunately, some members will not be able to attend whatever night is chosen, and the Eagles is limited as well. The Altered Classics meets on some Tuesdays and it looked like the 3rd Tuesday was the best alternative and would not interfere with other meetings. A motion was made and passed, so the June meeting will be June 15 at 7 PM at the Eagles. We discussed the celebration dinner which had been postponed by COVID and we are planning that for Sunday afternoon, October 10, at 1 PM. We will hold the annual corn feed August 29 and Helen Robertson will get the Chicken and work with Carol for other supplies.
The Summer tour will be in Great Falls September 10-12 so please get your registrations in to Bill Caffyn. There is more information in the Times.
Jan DeMarco related that Jerry had very successful heart surgery and is doing much better. He will stay at the Highgate.
The Altered Classics will display cars at the fair this year.
Dick Dohrman celebrates a May Birthday and Carol mentioned Don Buck turned 91 last month.

The club will meet at 12:30 Friday, May 14, between Conlin’s Furniture and the 4-B’s restaurant for a trip to the American Bar for lunch. Please contact Sue Smith at 727-3845 if you plan to go.

Subject: April 2021 Skunk Wagon Minutes
The monthly Skunk Wagon meeting was called to order by president Carol Rustad at 7PM, Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Eagles Manor. There were no new members or guests. This was the first meeting at the Eagles since COVID 19 shut down our normal meetings at the Eagles but we did hold a picnic at the Memorial Park August 7 and those minutes were approved as delivered. Carol mentioned that 9 members had passed away in the last year. Please note that the club’s speaker system has disappeared and if anyone has any information please contact Kurt Baltrusch. We believe it was last used at the August Picnic at Memorial Park. Bill Caffyn was unable to attend but the treasurer’s report was approved as submitted. The meeting refreshment list was passed around and thanks to those who volunteered for this.Annette Terry discussed the possibility of a swap meet in the fall and she will continue to work on that. We do have two trailers stored at Harry Mitchell’s with swap meet equipment in those. As there probably will be no cooking at any future meets, we have discussed selling either of those trailers but will not do anything for the time being. We discussed the celebration dinner which had been postponed by COVID and we are tentatively looking at Sunday afternoon, October 10, and Carol Rustad will look into that. We also plan to hold the annual corn feed later this year. The club discussed the Friday night meeting time and is considering moving that to the 3rd Tuesday each month to move away from possible weekend activities and congestion at the Eagles. We hope that this might increase participation and those attending tonight’s meeting were in favor of this change. There will be future discussion and a vote later on. Jan DeMarco related that Jerry has been scheduled for some surgery in the next weeks and he is now at Highgate. We received a note from Camp Maiden thanking us for our donation in memory of long-time member and state secretary Sie Schindler who passed due to COVID in December. No one admitted to having April Birthdays. The squirrel Cage contained $9.10 and was won by Jan DeMarco and Bob Dige. It was great to see those attendees after a year of isolation. The next meeting will be May 7 at the Eagles.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020, at Barbara’s home.
Barbara was born in Great Falls, MT on February 5, 1945, to Melvin and Nettie Jackson. She was an amazing artist, in whatever medium she chose. She followed in her mother’s footsteps with her first job at Electric City Conservatory. She saved every penny to buy herself a car. After marrying Royce McDunn, she became a business owner for 36 years (McDunn’s) Piccadilly Floral in the Holiday Village Mall. When she closed the flower shop, she went to work for Michaels’s for several years. She enjoyed seeing friends and former customers walk through the door while outworking staff members half her age and surpassing the floral sales for Michael’s for the entire Northern region as a part-time employee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Jackson and Nettie (Goodman) Jackson; twin sisters, Jean (Bud Vigen) Jackson and Joan (Bill Richards) Jackson; and brother, Glenn Jackson.Barb is survived by her brother, Mike (Sherry) Jackson of Kalispell; and only daughter, Wendy McDunn of Great Falls and Billings; two grandsons, Reece Frank and Levi Frank, both of Great Falls; great-granddaughter to be Cora Frank; very special niece, Helen Richards of Great Falls; ex-husbands, Royce McDunn of Great Falls and Dale Kranz of Largo, FL.She was known for her beautiful quilting and artistic mastery. Barb had an electric personality that drew you to her, but was always humble.
Barbara had a love for cars since she was young. This petite woman could talk cars, and she could also put her money where her mouth was. As a teen, she could be seen as a regular at the pick up drags on Bootlegger Trail, but she also held a Montana Drag Association official license of which she was extremely proud. You can only imagine back in the 60s, when she pulled off her helmet and all that long blond hair came out after she just smoked some guy. To this day some of those races are still hotly debated, only because a guy lost to her. She was part of the Electric City Van Club, and would put her cars in shows when World of Wheels came to Great Falls. She could always be found at Crusin’ the Drag, or whatever Great Falls car show was held that weekend. She belonged to the Electric City Corvette Club and dabbled in SCCA autocross racing, but Barb’s one true love was her 1965 GTO for which she was known.Friday Parade for any car club members: – An opportunity to lift spirits of the Ivy Care Center residents (formerly Missouri River Nursing Home) with a parade of cars. Show up 1:00-1:15 pm, across the street from the home (1130 17th Ave S). About 1:30 we will parade by the nursing home (maybe couple times). Rain or shine, drive any vehicle you choose. Hold up signs, decorate vehicles, toot horns or anything to make people smile.
The September Skunk Wagon Meeting will be Friday, September 4, at the Lions Park by Hardees on 10th Ave S. Bring a sandwich around 6 and the meeting will start around 6:45
